BEFORE you start your application!!
- Any pages not completed on the computer must be typed or printed in BLACK ink!
- Ask two people unrelated to you to submit recommendations in your behalf. These letters must be signed and submitted with your completed application. Some scholarships require recommendations from specific persons. Please see the individual scholarship descriptions or the Special Attachment section of the application for more information.
- Have a copy of your current/most recent school transcript (not a report card) to submit with your application.
- Spend time collecting the IRS tax information that will be needed to complete the Financial Assistance Questionnaire. If you have questions, go here for help.
- Spend time drafting your essay. The essay is a significant factor in your overall score, so be sure to give your answer careful thought. This program does not have spell check, so make sure you check for errors. If you are drafting your essay in another program and cutting and pasting, make sure you have no formatting such as tabs or indent. This format does not copy into the program and might cause problems with some of the lines of your essay.
- Include any special attachments or membership verification information required. See individual scholarship descriptions or the Special Attachment or Membership Verification section of the application form for more specific information.
- Answer all questions! The information is required.
Notification of our decision
All scholarship applicants will be notified, in writing, about the outcome of their application around May 1.

Staff will be available on Tuesday, January 24 to answer applicants' questions one-on-one from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you do not have access to a computer and/or the Internet, you can come to the foundation on this date to use our computers/Internt.
DON'T FORGET THIS!
All applications must be submitted two ways. First, you must submit your application electronically (by February 1, 2012) in eGRANT by clicking the "Submit My Data" button on the Finish screen. Second, you must print, sign and mail a copy of your application and all attachments (to print, use the "View" button on eGRANT's Main Menu). All attachments must be included with your application or we cannot consider it. Be sure to double check your application, both online and the printed pages for completeness. (It is OK to mail recommendation letters under separate cover.)
