Kendra Kempf // Program Officer & FORCE Coordinator

Kendra helps facilitate the foundation’s competitive grant process. Whether you are writing your first grant request or your tenth, she helps you succeed by offering guidance and recommendations. She also coordinates FORCE, the foundation’s youth advisory committee, and helps plan Saginaw County’s Make A Difference Day and Spring Into Service events.

She describes her career in a quote from the Grateful Dead: “What a long, strange trip it’s been.”  From working as a paralegal in Royal Oak to a secretary for the YMCA’s Camp Timbers to marketing and communications for real estate agencies to large-scale corporate event planning with Morley Companies, Kendra’s work experience gives her a unique perspective.

In her free time, Kendra enjoys the experiences she has laughing with her teenage daughter, Karsen, and spending the summers with her family and friends on the beaches of Lake Huron and Lake Michigan.  

Kendra holds a bachelor’s degree from Northwood University and is a 2011 graduate of Leadership Saginaw. She also is a member of the steering committee for the Michigan Chapter of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP), a national organization created to assist in bridging the gap between philanthropy’s emerging leaders and senior leaders to help build better foundations for a better world.
