As part of our Cornerstone Club campaign, we’re featuring several of our Cornerstone members on our blog. Learn more about Cornerstone

Old Brick PaverDr. Samuel and Patricia Shaheen and family have driven community development with real estate projects, such as Saginaw’s South Washington Corridor, Bay City’s new River Place development and the purchase and renovation of the Temple Theatre, which they subsequently gifted to the community.

“We’ve been fortunate to have visited communities all over the world,” Patricia Shaheen says. “There are certain things that attract you to a community, and we’d love to have those in the Great Lakes Bay Region. That’s what drives us. Whatever we can do — big or small.”

“From the beginning, we wanted to be part of the Saginaw Community Foundation. We created the Shaheen Family Fund as an unrestricted fund because we know the needs of a community change over time. When the funds aren’t restricted, they can more easily make those matches.”

See how you can make an impact as a Cornerstone Club member.
