Only certain nonprofit organizations are eligible to be licensed to conduct bingos, raffles, and to sell charity game tickets. The State of Michigan Charitable Gaming Division is hosting an area training meeting on August 6 from 1-4 p.m. to review the most current information regarding these fundraising opportunities. The training will take place at the Boys and Girls Club of the Great Lakes Bay Region located at 300 W. Lafayette Ave., Bay City.

There is no fee or pre-registration required to attend. Officers, chairpersons, workers or anyone completing paperwork will benefit from this opportunity to receive additional training in complying with the Bingo Act and rules.

For more information regarding this meeting, contact Inspector Jim Seelye at (989) 891-9847 or visit the State of Michigan Charitable Gaming website.
