We bring together the financial resources of individuals, families and local businesses to support nonprofits in our community. We act as a convener by bringing groups and individuals together to reach common goals. We’re a place where diverse interests and different voices come together to make real change happen.

Saginaw Community Foundation is a unique and vital part of the fabric of our community. We are the cornerstone from which so many good things are created across Saginaw County.
Virtually every type of donor interest and community challenge can be addressed by a gift to the Foundation. Working with local nonprofit partners, Saginaw Community Foundation supports and encourages activities across a whole range of philanthropic interests from arts to education … community improvement to health and human services … youth development to recreation. The opportunities are endless.
The power of endowment
We’ve done a great job over the years to strengthen nonprofits and help donors support causes that mean the most to them. The nearly 500 active funds at Saginaw Community Foundation are testament to that. Many of those funds are endowed – meaning they will provide continued support forever.
We have to be honest, though. While we have devoted energies and resources to help others, we have not stressed enough the importance of growing our own endowment. Your direct support is vital to ensure our long-term growth and stability. To continue to do the great things we do, we need your help.

When you give a gift to our administrative endowment, The Lucy R. Allen Cornerstone Fund, you will provide critical operational support for us to:
• Provide grants to help fund projects and initiatives right here in Saginaw County – totaling nearly 2,100 since 1984 with an impact of $24.6 million
• Award hundreds of scholarships yearly for those seeking secondary education
• Run our Youth First After School Program – a resource for children and parents
• Guide young philanthropists via FORCE, our youth advisory council
• Convene groups and individuals together to combine resources, talents and shared visions to reach common goals

Throughout Saginaw’s history, residents have joined together to help make this community a great place. Your gift of support to Saginaw Community Foundation stays local and will be pooled with many others to deliver maximum impact. Our goal for this year’s Cornerstone campaign is to raise $100,000 to support our administrative endowment.
