Our volunteers are amazing. They serve on boards and committees. They help us make decisions that affect the community. They help us review and score hundreds of scholarship applications. These people are our advocates and supporters.

We recently thanked our volunteers with the foundation’s first Volunteer Appreciation BBQ. It was a perfect 70-degree September day. Our volunteers enjoyed barbecue sandwiches, potato salad and smoked Texas chili from Dave’s Texas Pit BBQ. The candy bar, featuring caramel apples, chocolates, cookies and other treats was nearly empty by the end of the evening.
