Edward F. Petzko was a high school teacher for over 30 years, beginning in Evansville, Wisconsin, before moving to St. Charles, Michigan. He spent the last 25 years of his teaching career at Arthur Hill High School. In addition to his teaching role, Ed was very active in athletics and held head coaching positions in basketball, football, track and cross-country.  Ed was the man in the press box behind the numbers on the electronic scoreboard at the Arthur Hill Memorial Stadium. In 1980, “Coach” Petzko was inducted into the Michigan Sports Sages recognizing his coaching activities. He was an avid amateur golfer and passed his love of the game to his children and grandchildren –who found success at the high school and collegiate level.

Marion F. Petzko was a teacher in the Saginaw Public School system for 25 years with most of that time spent as a 5th grade teacher at Handley Elementary School. Marion was born in Whitewater, Wisc. and attended the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater where she graduated with a degree in education. She met and married Edward Petzko and settled in Saginaw. Marion was an avid golfer carding her best round at the ripe young age of 86. She enjoyed playing the piano daily and gave the gift of music to her children. She had an intense love of nature, loved to garden, and was passionate about her blue hydrangeas. Being from Wisconsin also meant that she was a lifelong Green Bay Packer fan.
