July 12, 2012

The Balcueva Family Memorial Scholarship was established in 1998 in memory of the four young sons Edgar and Mary Jane Balcueva have lost due to a rare congenital heart defect – Eddie, Randy, Brad and Rick. The entire Balcueva family grew up enjoying the outdoors and loved camping as a family. Environmentally conscious, the Balcueva children were recycling long before anyone else.

The Balcueva Family Memorial Scholarship is designed to support the family’s environmental interests by providing financial assistance to students interested in preserving our land, air and water, while serving as a lasting tribute to the Balcueva boys.
