Bobbi J. Galarno Memorial Scholarship

In categories: Scholarships

August 2, 2016

This scholarship has been established in memory of Bobbi J. Galarno, a native of Cass City who came to the Saginaw area as a student. She attended Saginaw Valley State University, earning both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. Mrs. Galarno was a 25-year teacher in the Saginaw Public School System. She taught mathematics and physical education at Saginaw High and Arthur Hill High Schools.

Bobbi’s love for her students transcended the classroom. She also enjoyed coaching softball and swimming. Mrs. G., known for her beautiful smile and sound advice, was an incredible teacher, wife, and friend. Losing her at such an early age has left a void felt by her family, her friends, and her students.

In an effort to keep Bobbi’s amazing spirit alive, Frank Galarno (Mr. G.), along with friends and family, have created the Bobbi J. Galarno Memorial Scholarship in her honor. This scholarship will help a deserving student make his or her educational dreams come true and continue Bobbi’s love of learning.
