The Emily Anne Dressler Memorial Scholarship, established in 1993, is dedicated to the memory of and is a lasting tribute to a young lady who brought the blessings of joy and happiness to everyone who knew her. Her love of life and others, happy disposition and positive, appreciative attitude were evident throughout her life.

 

Consistent with her philosophy in life, Emily demonstrated unselfish courage as she faced her final moments here on earth. She will forever remain in the hearts and minds of so many as she shares in the joy of everlasting life with her Lord and Savior.

 

This scholarship will help many young people to achieve their educational and career goals in life.

 

 

Qualifications

● Minimum 3.0 GPA
● One award to a high school senior from any Saginaw County high school
● One award to a high school senior from Valley Lutheran High School
● Pursuing an undergraduate degree
● Full-time enrollment  

Evaluation Criteria

Financial need (25); scholastic record (15); honors (10); demonstrated qualities of citizenship and leadership (10); essay (10); community activities (10); extracurricular activities (10); recommendations (10).
