Nexteer Scholarship

The Nexteer Scholarship Fund mission is to help high school graduates in financial need through a scholarship program for residents of Saginaw, Midland and Bay Counties who are pursuing a career in engineering or general business. The goal is to help deserving individuals within our community achieve their career goals – an objective which has the added benefit of improving the community-at-large.
Nexteer draws upon a 100 year heritage of vehicle integration expertise and product workmanship. The company has a strong foundation and a reputation for providing dependable steering solutions and enduring customer relationships.
Qualifications
● Graduating high school senior
● Resident of Bay, Midland or Saginaw Counties, or surrounding Great Lakes Bay Region
● Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering or Business (includes Global Supply Management, Purchasing, Logistics, etc.)
● Attending an accredited, four year Michigan university
● Minimum 3.0 GPA
● Additional consideration will be given to Nexteer Team Member/immediate family member (children, grandchildren, step-children)
● Full-time enrollment
Evaluation Criteria
Financial need (25); Academic performance (25); Leadership (10); ACT test score (10); Community service (10); Interview (10); Career goals as demonstrated in essay (5); Membership (Nexteer Team Member or immediate family member) (5).
