Jacquelyn and Donald Hebert were married on Feb. 13, 1954. After returning from Korea in service for our country, Don worked for Michigan Bell for 38 years. Jacki worked for Michigan Bell for 35 years, retiring in 1986 as an accounting department supervisor. Both Jacki and Don were members of the Telecom Pioneers, the largest industry-related volunteer organization in the world with projects ranging from helping the disabled to fostering literacy. Don passed away in 1993 and Jacki passed away in 2008.

Jacki and Don had no children of their own. However, they valued the benefits of a college education and desired to help committed students attend college. The Hebert Memorial Scholarship Fund was established upon Jacki’s death  to help fund the education of students who are Saginaw County residents and have a “B” or better average in high school.
