Sons of Italy Scholarship

The Sons of Italy Scholarship is sponsored by the Sacra Famiglia Saginaw Lodge 2456 of the Sons of Italy. The Sons of Italy is a fraternal organization that promotes Italian heritage, culture, language and the education of its membership.
The Sacra Famiglia Saginaw Lodge 2456 was formed in March 1980.

 

Lodge 2456 supports many civic events and is especially involved in local charities concerned with children.
In October 1988, the Sons of Italy Scholarship was established to promote education for Lodge 2456 members and their sons, daughters and grandchildren.

 

Qualifications

● Minimum 2.5 GPA
● Applicant must be a current member or the son, daughter, or grandchild of a current Sons of Italy Lodge 2456 member.  Must have been a member in good standing since January 1 of the previous year.
● Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree or Career and Techincal Education (CTE) training (skilled trade/vocation)
● Part- or full-time enrollment 
 

 

 
 

 

Evaluation Criteria

Scholastic record (25); leadership (15); awards and honors (15); student commitment as demonstrated in essay (15); extracurricular activities (10); community activities (10); recommendations (10).
