September 18, 2012

The Swan Valley Foundation Scholarship was developed in 1998 by Douglas Bird and the senior counseling staff at Swan Valley High School to recognize students who have taken full advantage of the educational opportunities offered them. Fundraisers are continuing with hopes that they will be able to fund students for many years to come.

This scholarship was founded to promote and reward students who maintain high academic standards and to assist them in achieving their educational and career goals. Qualifying students must have attended Swan Valley the last two years of their high school education and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Students must also demonstrate a well-rounded effort of involvement in school and community activities, attendance, work ethic, determination, respect for self, respect for others and a sense of responsibility.
