The Thomas (Tom) W. McDonald, Sr. Saginaw Township Business Association Scholarship is offered to promote continued education for students pursuing a degree in a business or business related field at an accredited Michigan college or university.

This scholarship was created to pay tribute to Saginaw Township Business Association (STBA) founder, Saginaw philanthropist, historian and businessman Tom McDonald. The STBA’s objective is to enhance educational opportunities and future career opportunities in Saginaw Township and Saginaw County.

Mr. McDonald, on behalf of the STBA Board of Directors and its business members, thank you for your support and encouragement over the past 20 years.

 

  

Qualifications

● Student, parent or guardian must be a member of STBA or work for an STBA member employer
● 2.5 minimum GPA
● Graduating high school senior or current college student
● Full-time enrollment at an accredited Michigan college or university
● Pursuing an associate, undergraduate or graduate degree or Career and Techincal Education (CTE) training (skilled trade/vocation) in business or a business related field (Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Communications, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Financial Planning, Human Resources, etc.) 

 
 

Evaluation Criteria

Employment (25); extracurricular school activities (25); community involvement (25); overall involvement (25).
