Gary and Florence DeShano both grew up in large rural families, proud to call Auburn, Mich. and later Gladwin, Mich. home. Gary and Florence founded DeShano Homes in 1966 and worked together for 56 years until Gary’s passing on April 22, 2022. All three of their children: Scott, Chad, and Erin – as well as seven son and daughters-in-law and several grandchildren – have joined the family business, continuing it to this day.

The Gary L. and Florence G. DeShano Family Scholarship will award a scholarship to Saginaw County high school graduates – including home schooled graduates – pursuing a career in the construction trade or a construction-related field.

This scholarship fund will honor the legacy of Gary, Florence and the DeShano Family.
